Brand Protection & Character Governance Policy

Article I – Purpose

Mrs. Harmony™ is the official mascot and goodwill ambassador of The Walker Foundation. She represents confidence, compassion, courage, hope, inclusion, healthy self-esteem, and the Foundation's mission to support children and families.

This policy establishes the ownership, protection, governance, licensing, and enforcement of all rights associated with Mrs. Harmony™ and applies to every employee, volunteer, board member, contractor, sponsor, partner, vendor, consultant, photographer, videographer, designer, and third party.

Article II – Exclusive Ownership

Mrs. Harmony™, including every version of the character, is the sole and exclusive property of The Walker Foundation.

Ownership includes, but is not limited to:

• Character name
• Character likeness
• Character personality
• Costume
• Artwork
• Illustrations
• Mascot suit
• Voice
• Signature phrases
• Educational curriculum
• Books
• Videos
• Animations
• Social media content
• Logos
• Digital assets
• Website graphics
• Merchandise
• Promotional materials
• Future adaptations
• Artificial intelligence renderings
• Three-dimensional models
• Plush toys
• Coloring books
• Mobile applications
• Games
• Virtual reality appearances
• Augmented reality experiences

No person acquires ownership rights by creating, wearing, photographing, promoting, sponsoring, or portraying Mrs. Harmony.

Article III – Work Made for Hire

Every illustration, photograph, video, costume, graphic, animation, document, design, recording, or derivative work created for Mrs. Harmony shall be considered a "work made for hire."

If any work is not legally considered work made for hire, the creator irrevocably assigns all worldwide intellectual property rights to The Walker Foundation without limitation.

Article IV – Trademark Protection

The Foundation shall seek trademark protection for:

• Mrs. Harmony™
• Character logo
• Character silhouette
• Character slogans
• Character signature phrases
• Educational program names connected to Mrs. Harmony

Trademark protection shall extend to all appropriate classes of goods and services.

Article V – Copyright Protection

The Foundation owns the copyright to:

• Original artwork
• Costume design
• Promotional graphics
• Educational materials
• Books
• Lesson plans
• Animations
• Digital illustrations
• Website content
• Printed materials
• Character stories

No reproduction is permitted without written authorization.

Article VI – Licensing

No individual or organization may use Mrs. Harmony without a written license issued by The Walker Foundation.

Licenses may be granted for:

• Hospitals
• Schools
• Community events
• Government agencies
• Sponsors
• Approved nonprofit partners
• Educational campaigns

Licenses are revocable at any time.

Article VII – Merchandise Protection

Only authorized manufacturers may produce merchandise featuring Mrs. Harmony.

Unauthorized production of the following is prohibited:

• T-shirts
• Hoodies
• Hats
• Plush toys
• Dolls
• Coloring books
• Posters
• Stickers
• Bags
• Cups
• Pins
• Lanyards
• Blankets
• School supplies
• Digital downloads
• NFTs or blockchain collectibles
• AI-generated commercial products

Article VIII – Digital & Artificial Intelligence Protection

• Train artificial intelligence using Mrs. Harmony.
• Generate AI artwork for commercial use.
• Create AI voice replicas.
• Clone the mascot.
• Produce deepfakes.
• Sell AI-generated versions.
• Upload the mascot into AI datasets without written authorization.

Article IX – Character Integrity

Mrs. Harmony shall never be portrayed in a manner that is:

• Offensive
• Political
• Profane
• Discriminatory
• Violent
• Sexualized
• Misleading
• Defamatory
• Inconsistent with The Walker Foundation's mission

The Foundation reserves sole authority over the mascot's appearance, behavior, messaging, and public representation.

Article X – Brand Standards

Mrs. Harmony shall consistently represent:

• Confidence
• Compassion
• Hope
• Inclusion
• Diversity
• Professionalism
• Respect
• Community service
• Education
• Family values

No unauthorized color, logo, costume, hairstyle, or design modifications are permitted.

Article XI – Authorized Appearances

Mrs. Harmony may appear only at Foundation-approved activities, including:

• Hairitage Day
• Crown Care Walk
• Hospital visits
• School programs
• Community outreach
• Fundraisers
• Educational workshops
• Media interviews
• Sponsor events approved by The Walker Foundation

Article XII – Confidentiality

Design files, mascot patterns, measurements, manufacturing specifications, artwork source files, scripts, marketing plans, and future character developments are confidential and may not be shared without written approval.

Article XIII – Social Media

No individual may create or operate a Mrs. Harmony social media account without written authorization.

Only approved administrators may publish official content.

Article XIV – Enforcement

The Walker Foundation may take any lawful action necessary to protect Mrs. Harmony™, including:

• Written cease-and-desist notices
• Revocation of licenses
• Removal of volunteers or partners
• Cancellation of sponsorship privileges
• Copyright claims
• Trademark enforcement
• Legal proceedings
• Recovery of damages and attorney's fees where permitted by law

Article XV – Successors

Mrs. Harmony shall remain the permanent intellectual property of The Walker Foundation.

No officer, director, employee, volunteer, or family member may transfer, sell, assign, pledge, or otherwise dispose of the mascot or its intellectual property without formal authorization from the Foundation's Board of Directors in accordance with applicable law and the Foundation's governing documents.

Article XVI – Nationwide Protection and Prohibition Against Copying

Mrs. Harmony™ is the exclusive intellectual property of The Walker Foundation. The Foundation asserts and will protect its intellectual property rights throughout the United States and in any other jurisdiction where applicable law provides protection.

• Copy or reproduce Mrs. Harmony™ in whole or in part.
• Create a mascot, character, logo, costume, illustration, or design that is identical to or confusingly similar to Mrs. Harmony™.
• Use Mrs. Harmony™ or any substantially similar character in any jurisdiction in a manner that may cause confusion.
• Register or attempt to register names, trademarks, domains, or social media accounts confusingly similar to Mrs. Harmony™.
• Manufacture, sell, distribute, license, advertise, or display unauthorized merchandise.
• Create derivative works or AI-generated versions without written authorization.

The Walker Foundation reserves the right to investigate suspected infringement and pursue all remedies available under applicable federal, state, and international intellectual property laws.

Any unauthorized use of Mrs. Harmony™ may result in immediate legal action.

Article XVII – Reservation of Rights

The Walker Foundation expressly reserves all rights not specifically granted in writing.

Permission to use Mrs. Harmony for one event or project does not create any continuing license or ownership interest.
